What a day.....I loved every minute of it.
I cannot believe I waited so late life for this tremendous experience!
I was so exuberant.....my happy-tears mingled with the waterfall's spray and my fella was hugging me from behind....... I could not have been happier!
The captain of the Maid of the Mist took us closer & closer & closer .....so close that I was beginning to think he had decided to commit suicide & take us all with him!
Oh, well, I figured it would be a great way to go!
In this photo of me with the blue rain hood up around my face I was hardly able to keep my eyes open for the wind & water.
Is THAT me without bangs? My oh my.......
.........................Now I really realize why I've decided to keep them.
The raincoats they give us were quite long too. That was a good thing. And we were glad we had the rubber sandals from the Cave of the Winds earlier .
I almost forgot to say that we took our "Discovery Tour" from the New York side of Niagara Falls but the Maid of the Mist took us right up into the Canadian Horseshoe Falls part. Some have said that the Canadian side is better but we decided to not face the traffic line on to bridge over to the Canadian side.
Hey, there was a Casino downtown
We did eat at their buffet but it was more expensive than most casino buffets & mediocre in what they offered. Wouldn't go there again nor suggest one should.
That's it for Niagara. Now on the road to Quebec.
