Nowhere in the Oklahoma Panhandle

We were traveling Eastward  on Oklahoma Rte #64
This hwy is about as far north as you can get in the OK Panhandle.
It runs just below & and parallel with the KANSAS border.

Hwy #64 brought us to a tiny town called Gate , Oklahoma . No , I never heard of it either.

All 5 of Gate's buildings were muralized (new word?) by one woman. I didn't get her name….well, actually I did but I've forgotten.

Maybe I should  have said Trompe l'Oeiled  (another new word?) instead of muralized which would be closer to the true description of the paintings.

GATE, OKLAHOMA

This sign was just on a vacant lot next to the  side of a seemingly vine-painted building & The artist painted almost life sized  things everywhere she could.

We had lunch at Laurie's Cafe. Not bad, Not bad.

The wooden fence to the right is also painted with life sized "westerners" & their pack animals , doggies  & horses.
You can barely see it but the two people standing in front of the white fence on the right side of the cafe are painted on.
(No, not the person leaning on the light-post....oops....awning support. He's for real )
The mural goes all around the corner on that fence for quite a ways. We cannot see here in the photo above.

Joey getting his shoe "horsed" no...horseshoed......something like that.
Can you see the kitty in the upstairs window?

Joey Being a Cowboy. Hey, Cowboy where's your hat?

Joey wanted to give the little fella a lift up.
